DMAL/APWU MEMBERS

It has come to our attention that a flier has been put out stating that Logistics is having a BBQ and Appreciation on August 25, 2021, that is being hosted by USPS management and the APWU or MVS Craft Director. 

The DMAL APWU wants to let the members know that we believe that ALL Crafts have been diligently working to get the mail out.  The DMAL/APWU believes that ALL members deserve to be recognized for their hard work!  The DMAL/APWU would never endorse recognition for one craft and not the others.  We are NOT participating in this function because we don't believe in NOT acknowledging all work that is done to process the mail. 

We believe that Maintenance is essential to moving the mail by creating a clean workplace, maintaining the machines and the facility.   We believe that the Clerks are essential for the processing of the mail and getting it to the correct dock so that it is delivered in a timely manner.  Motor Vehicle is essential to getting the mail to the station so that the mail can be cased and turned over to the Carrier craft.  The Vehicle Maintenance craft are essential because they maintain ALL our vehicles and keep them working properly and safely. 

I want to be VERY clear that the DMAL/APWU believes that you deserve the recognition, but we can't acknowledge one craft without acknowledging ALL crafts.  With that being said the DMAL/APWU is not hosting this barbecue!!
